What do you want us to transcribe or translate? Please prioritise your requirements and we will transcribe/translate as many pages as possible in the time you want to purchase.

Transcription

If you are having difficulty reading an old document, an archivist will consult with you and transcribe your document.

Translation

We also offer a translation service. including Middle English and Anglo Saxon; Latin or French.

If the document is not part of the HALS permanent collections, we are able to work from a good quality copy or alternatively temporarily accession the original document to be worked on at Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies.

Charges and delivery

You will be charged according to the time taken to translate or transcribe the document. Please note that the fee does not include the provision of copies

Search time is charged in units of 30 minutes to a maximum of two hours. The report will be sent to your e-mail address.
