In this first joint venture by the Hertfordshire Natural History Society and Training Publications Limited, mammals, amphibians and reptiles are added to the species already covered by books in the county.  Previous subjects include the flora, birds, breeding bird atlas, wild flower habitats and butterflies.   As well as maps of the local distribution of each species, there are national ranges for the reader to compare.  Relevant but hard to trace records of the Society’s amazing 125 years on their Transactions have also been painstakingly researched and reprinted here.
