Description

Place House stands in a small walled courtyard in the centre of Ware, Hertfordshire. It was the former Manor House of Ware and the oldest part of the building is thought to date to the late thirteenth or early fourteenth century.

This publication follows the history of ownership, tenancy, function and plan of the manor house through the last seven centuries.
